The new snowflex facility at Dorset Snowsport Centre offers something for Skiers and Snowboarders of all levels of ability.

The Nursery Slope

The Nursery Slope for beginners is 300mē in size with two teaching lanes separated by a Briton Dual-sided Queuedodger servicing both lanes.

The Main Slope

The Main Slope is 110m long and 23m wide and offers approximately 2,500mē of ski-able area. The slope is serviced by the existing BritonButton rope tow, with a capacity of up to 800 trips per hour to the top of the hill and two get-off points for less confident users.

From the top of the main tow the customers can choose from two routes:

The West Side

The west side of the slope is a simple design with a small roller part way down. This slope is ideal for open practice and lessons and is designed to allow the maximum number of persons down the slope with the minimum number of obstacles.

The Fun Park

More advanced skiers and snowboarders can take a further ascent up a second Queuedodger rope tow to the summit, on top of the newly constructed fun park launch platform. Descending down this east side into the fun park is a steep in-run down a choice of either a rainbow rail or down toward the jump zone. We also now have an upflatdownrail available on boarders night...

The Jump Zone

The jump zone comprises a choice of a fun-box-style jump, a further straight or rainbow rail or a traditional kicker jump with a ramp of 5m long, 2m wide and 1.2m high. All three of these features drop onto a steep landing area designed for 'long air' but with maximum possible safety. This landing area is set into a bowl and features two alternative side entries for those just starting out in freestyle and wishing to approach from the adjacent practice slope.
